Turn your cans into house keys!

Take all your aluminum cans and all metals to Shelby’s Recycling and tell them to put it on the Habitat account. You’ll help to save the environment and help a family in need. Shelby’s is located at 620 W Madison St. They are open M-F from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. They will take all your scrap metal, electronics, appliances and old cars and turn them into money for Habitat! Camp Habitat

Our first Camp Habitat was held in June 2011. The 55 youth that participated were 6th thru 12th grade students from within our community. The youth along with adult supervision were able to assist 47 homeowners in 92, A Brush with Kindness, projects during the week. The work included everything from cleaning up and redoing some landscaping, painting, washing exterior of homes and building steps, just to name a few.
